Dear colleagues,
Following the success of the first three editions of the NP2D (“Natural Peptides to Drugs”) congress, it was an obvious decision to organise a fourth edition of NP2D. This will take place from 11 to 14 April 2010 in Zermatt again, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn mountain in the heart of the Swiss Alps. NP2D is devoted to the development and commercialisation of peptide-based drugs and we are pleased to invite you to attend this unconventional event!
NP2D has been established as an international, interdisciplinary exchange platform for specialists and decision makers involved in major overlapping areas of Pharma R&D such as:
Peptidic hormones, Antimicrobial peptides, Toxins, Immunomodulators and more .
NP2D aims to bring together:

Our scientific program this year will be in a single-stream session and will include:
• 12 invited plenary lectures
• 25 selected oral contributions
• "Hot-Spot" presentations (5' oral scientific presentations)
• "Lift-Presentations" (5' oral business presentations)
• 1 roundtable (Evaluation, licensing and strategic alliances: how to be successful?)
Contributions are welcome for oral, “Hot-Spot” and "Lift" presentations at the conference, in particular covering the areas of peptide drug discovery and development. Emphasis will be given to issues such as:
• discovery of novel active compounds
• chemistry at the development stage
• clinical trials & regulatory issues & legal aspects
• funding
• formulation & delivery
• production methods
• commercialisation
Located in Zermatt, limited in size to 150 persons, and offering ample time for social activities, the congress is designed to promote fruitful interactions among the participants and above all, long-lasting relationships.
NP2D is offered as an attractive, all-included congress package at Zermatt’s prestigious five-star hotel “Seiler Mont Cervin Palace”. Zermatt is at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn mountain in the Swiss Alps at an altitude of 1’620 m (5’315 ft). Participants will have the option to extend their stay in Zermatt at specially reduced rates, and accompanying persons are more than welcome to join us.
